Hi I'm Deborah

I'm a wife and mother, a volunteer, and involved in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, scrapbooking, Family History work; but most of all I love to travel and meet new people. I have owned my own business. Given the chance, I'd rather be involved in doing service. How we live our lives and the way we use our time is important to me. These are gifts given to us to use wisely. Every moment counts!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Catholic by wonderful parents who led by example. I had attended 2 different Catholic schools for my elementary years. While in my mid-teens, I was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. All that I learned there were things that I already believed within myself and it all felt so natural to me. It felt like "coming home". I was baptized just before my 16th birthday and remain the only member of this church from my immediate family. I can't see having made any other choice in my life that would have blessed me as this has. I am grateful for the knowledge and direction it has given me.

How I live my faith

I try hard to follow my parents example--that of being an example to others. I love being of service and helping wherever I can; whether it be within the church (teaching, doing scouts, leading children or women, etc.)or my community as an election volunteer, helping in schools, roadside clean-ups, or causes that effect my nieghborhood. We are given only one earthly life...we must choose wisely those things which are important to us.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are indeed Christians. The term Christian came to denote those that follow Christ. We try in our everyday lives to follow His example. We do truly believe that Jesus is are Savior and Redeemer and that He is the path to our salvation and exaltation. We know that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God, whom we refer to as our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
