Hi I'm Chris

I love tennis, writing, playing the trumpet, singing, and playing video games. I also love spending time with friends and family.

About Me

I'm a high school graduate and I'm majoring in Psychology. I attended a semester of college at BYU, Provo and I'm now on a two year mission to the Leeds, England mission which covers the north eastern part of England. I've worked at Hobby Lobby and Spokane Racquet Club in order to save up money for my mission. I also coached tennis for the high school from which I graduated. I am an Eagle scout and in my spare time before my mission I spent time with my friends and family, played tennis, spent time with my girlfriend and was a member of a local jazz band.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and have chosen to stay a member because of the happiness and guidance it brings in my life. I've been through some rough trials and challenges and with the knowledge and peace that the church brings, I've been able to live a happy and successful life. I have also seen the happiness that the Gospel has brought to the lives of others as my best friend, and my previous girlfriend have both since joined the church and I saw the benefits it brought to them in their lives. Although we may not still not be together, I know her life has changed for the better and I love talking to people about Jesus Christ and how He can completely change us into someone we couldn't be otherwise.

How I live my faith

I'm a full time missionary in England where I serve the people of England whether through answering questions, manual labor, or proselytizing.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Its basically a piece of advice from God that tells us what is bad for our most sacred gift from him, our bodies. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Mormons do not judge those who chose the homosexual life as bad or terrible people. We support those people as people who deserve to be treated just as well as everyone else and believe everyone has the potential to be an amazing and good person but we cannot condone things we believe to be a sin. We support the rights of gays in many things such as giving equal opportunity for work and housing but we define marriage as being between a man and a woman and for that reason we do not support gay marriage but true Mormons will never judge said people for their life choices or treat them any differently than anyone else. Jesus taught to love all people, even the sinners because we all make mistakes. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Being Mormon brings me much joy. My girlfriend and another friend of mine have both joined as well as many of the closest people in my life are people I have met in the church. The church brings an opportunity to be around those who are also trying to follow the example of the Saviour and who want to live good lives as well. Being Mormon provides for opportunities for fun, wholesome activities with friends and we place a very big importance on families. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought happiness I have never felt in a similar way. Show more Show less
