Hi I'm Kim

I grew up in Virginia and Colorado. I'm a student at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being alive! I'm very passionate about writing stories. I like playing the piano in my free time. I love listening to music and spending time with my friends. I'm good at math and I love a challenge. I have five younger brothers. I worked at a daycare, and I loved the kids! I served the people of Mexico as a missionary for a year and a half, which was one of the best things I've done in my life. I am now studying at BYU in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I've grown up with the gospel. From a young age, I have been aware of God's love for me and His care and guidance in my life. I was baptized at the age of 8 and I remember being so excited to get my very own set of scriptures. I was very diligent about reading them for a year or two, but then I began to not study God's words for me as often as I used to. Then, when I turned 12, I started to make myself start reading every day. It was was hard at first, but I stayed with it and I started to have more faith in Jesus Christ and God's plan for me. I remember feeling such a wonderful happiness when I knew for myself that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died for me. It made me even happier to know that Jesus lives today and that through His Atonement I could live with my family forever. I have stayed with the church throughout my youth and I have felt God's power during numerable experiences. I know that God hears and answers our prayers. I know that we are all God's children and that He loves each and every one of us. I know that Jesus died from my sins and that I can always repent if I make a mistake. I love being in the church because the gospel makes me happy and I know that this is the place that God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I do my best to be approachable when people have questions about the church. I have many nonmember friends, so I try to be an example of what I believe in every day. I let people know that I believe in Christ and I work on keeping His commandments everyday. When I am faced with a choice that I am unsure of, I think of what Jesus would do in my situation. I turn first to my Heavenly Father in prayer when I am in need of strength or comfort. Basically, I do my best to emulate the life of the Savior.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Kim
Yes! We believe that a husband and wife can be married forever, if they are married in the temple. This sacred ordinance is called being sealed. Families can also be sealed together in the temple for eternity. If they follow Jesus Christ's example and use His Atonement, they can be together forever in heaven as a family. Show more Show less
