Hi I'm Dave

I'm a brother, a son, a student, a friend, and a missionary. And I'm a mormon

About Me

I love chemistry and biology, and I am currently studying to be a biochemical researcher. I am the oldest of 9 kids! My family means a lot to me; they are the force that keeps me going from day to day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ, and was baptized by my father (who had the proper priesthood authority) when I was 8 years old. I have remained an active member throughout my life, along with my dear family. Now that I am alone at college, there are plenty of opportunities to fall away from the doctrines that I have cherished and valued throughout my adolescence and childhood, but I have not taken them. Here's why: I know that it is true. I don't understand everything perfectly, but faith makes up the difference. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that through Him, I can return to Heaven. I know that we are all children of God, who is our loving, eternal Heavenly Father. I know that both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us more than I can comprehend, which is marvelous to me.

How I live my faith

I am at college right now, so I am living away from home for the first time. I have to make some of my choices myself now. But my parents have taught me to be a good person by living my religion. I go to church every Sunday, I study the scriptures daily. I visit the Rexburg temple every week. I look for opportunities to brighten someone else's day by serving them. I want to share the love of Christ with everyone. I have been called by the Lord to serve a mission in a far away land. I have prepared myself for this time for much of my life, and I am eager and willing to serve the Lord. I will have to lean Spanish, which is fairly daunting to me, but it can't be much harder than organic chemistry! :) I know that the Lord will help me as I do my part. I still have much to learn, but I have already learned enough to begin sharing the blessed and important message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
