Hi I'm Heather

I love my family. I love to laugh. I love to dance. I am a mother and a wife. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Heather. I am married to an amazing man who loves me and serves our family and together we are parents to four wonderful boys. I feel blessed to be able to stay home and care for my boys. There is nothing I love more than waking up in the morning to the feeling of little arms around me or a warm little body snuggled up next to me. I feel joy and a true feeling of accomplishment as I serve and care for my family. This work has allowed me to strengthen my appreciation for the Savior and more fully understand his sacrifice for me. I love to watch my boys learn new things and I love to witness the sense of confidence that comes through this process. I love to listen to their silly laughter and comfort them in their times of trial. Being a Mother is the most important and most rewarding job I will ever have on this earth. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to teach a few dance classes every week. I started dancing at the age of 2 and it has always been a major part of my life. I attended a Mormon College where I was able to be a member of a touring dance company. Although I had been dancing for many years it wasn't until my college years that I really started to understand that my ability to dance was a talent given to me by my Heavenly Father and that He has a purpose for blessing me with this talent. I am grateful to be able to share what I have learned with others and help them develop their own talents and watch the joy it brings to their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the church. Although I was always taught the Gospel and attended church every week it wasn't until I was 18 that I gained a true testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and a strong desire to follow his teachings and serve him. Prayer was a key part in this process for me. I pleaded with my Father in Heaven that he would bless me with a desire and the ability to have a pure heart and a conviction to do what he would have me do. Through this experience I started down an amazing path and gained an undeniable testimony in the power of the atonement. I know that Heavenly Father sent his Son Jesus Christ to this earth to complete a mission that I cannot even comprehend. I know that if I will just desire to do his will and give it my best effort, he will make up the rest. He is perfect and therefore I can be perfect through Christ. What an amazing and humbling gift! Through our Saviors Sacrifice and love for us we can return to live with him after this life. This knowledge gives me the strength and peace to live every day to the best of my ability. I am living my path that he has prepared for me and I am constantly given new opportunities to learn to be more like the Savior Jesus Christ and serve those around me as he would have me do.

How I live my faith

My beliefs influence how i live every day. I am striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ in all I do. This affects how I treat others and how I choose to spend my time. I love the opportunities I have been given to serve my Heavenly Father by serving in the church. I am currently teaching Sunday school to youth ages 15-18. Right now we are studying the New Testament. It's such a blessing for me to be able to discuss the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and his disciples with my class. I also feel blessed as I prepare for my class each week. I have the opportunity to ask Heavenly Father to guide me to know how to best prepare a lesson that will be meaningful for each member of the class. Through this process I am strengthened and taught. I feel humbled and grateful for the opportunities to serve in the church, in my family and in my community. I know that as I strive to live my faith by serving those around me, following the teachings of Jesus Christ, studying the scriptures and praying, I will be blessed with peace and find the strength I need to accomplish all that Heavenly Father has in store for me. This is where true happiness comes from!
