Hi I'm Rosabel

I love art, music, and running. I am a full-time Mom and a homemaker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother and I'm adventurous. I've gone skydiving, backpacking, and horse riding. I love to cook and share what I make. I'm a country girl who lives in the city and I have a deep love for God and for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon and love it! I grew up in a broken home and fell away from the church for a while. Life was rough growing up, but when I gave up going to church it became even more difficult. I came back to church when some dear friends I hadn't seen in a long time invited me to go with them to church. That Sunday I knew where I belonged and I knew that the church I had been searching for was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a different name, and it doesn't exist. There is only one Church that is Christ's and this is it!

How I live my faith

For the passed two years I have taught the children in the Primary, which is the children's group at church. I loved teaching the children about Jesus and the Holy Scriptures.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It was written by His apostles and prophets and teaches us many great things. The scriptures help us to know God and His love for us. In addition to the Holy Bible, Latter-Day Saints also accept The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ which is a record of God's dealings with the inhabitants of ancient America (2000 BC - 400 AD), The Doctrine and Covenants, a collection of revelations and inspired declarations given for the establishment and regulation of the Church of Jesus Christ in the last days (1830 AD- 1978 AD), and The Pearl of Great Price which is a seletion of revelations, translations, and writings of Joseph Smith. I love all of the Holy Scriptures and study them everyday. The Word of God brings us closer to Him. It helps me be a better person. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. We believe He is our Savior and that there is no other way to get to heaven, but through Jesus Christ. His atonement, death, and resurrection make it possible to live in heaven again. He is the only one to have lived a completely perfect and sinless life. His perfect life and ministry set the example for each of us. We try our hardest every day to be more like Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ really lived and that He is the Son of God. The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets. One prophet, Lehi, lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. God commanded Lehi to lead a small group of people to the American continent. It talks about the miracles and direction that God gave them. Once they made it to the American continent they became a great civilization. God continued to call prophets among these people and the Book of Mormon is a collection of their writings. It is named after one of the last prophets named Mormon. These prophets new about Heavenly Father's plan for His children and the mission of Jesus Christ. They recorded that Christ appeared, after His Resurrection, to the people in America and taught them His gospel and formed His church among them. The book contains the teachings of Jesus Christ, testifies of His Divine Ministry, His Atonement, and His love. It supports the Bible and fulfills Bible prophecy. Towards the end of the Book of Mormon there is a promise that those who read it and sincerely pray about it can know by the Holy Ghost that it is true (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

The women that you find in the Mormon church are some of the strongest, most passionate, and hard working women you'll find anywhere. We are constantly trying to strengthen our families and those around us. We want our communities to be better, so we get involved. We are always looking to see if someone around us is in need of help and we try to do what Jesus would do. Do we believe in equality of men and women? You'd better believe it! The men and the women work together to make sure our families are safe and well taught. The scriptures teach us in 1 Cor. 11:11 that "neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord." Both parents work together in the home and are both actively engaged in the upbringing of their children. Show more Show less
