Hi I'm Dixie

I was raised by a single mother. I teach early morning seminary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother of four children and a grandma of two. We have one child left at home. I teach an early-morning religion class to 16-year-olds every school day and work as a receptionist in a professional office part time. I love to ride bikes, read books and listen to teenagers laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be born into an active Mormon family, so I was taught the truths of the Gospel at an early age. As I grew, I came to know for myself that this is the way to happiness. I am certain that when I keep the commandments and my life is in order, the Holy Spirit guides me. That Spirit has confirmed to me that this is God's true religion restored to the earth in our day.

How I live my faith

Hopefully, I've taught my children to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It makes me happy to see them grow and learn to make their own good choices. I was blessed to be asked to be an early-morning seminary teacher. I share the principles I have learned with a class of eighteen 16-year-olds every morning before school. This year we are studying the Old Testament. I try to live up to the values I have been taught and show others that I'm truly happy because I know the purpose of my life is to learn the lessons God has in store for me. I believe that if I live worthy, I can live with Him again someday.
