Hi I'm Damon

I'm a simple guy, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary serving in the Michigan Lansing mission from August 2011 to August 2013. I'm a huge music, sports, and cereal fan. I'm from a small town in Washington state, and I have a huge family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to have been raised in our faith. My mother was a convert and so she was very passionate about the Church growing up. I remember hearing about the Joseph Smith experience as a young boy and I knew it was true. As I grew older, it was harder and harder to maintain the standards and walking the line between being a member and being a normal teenager became more and more difficult. I took things for granted and didn't live as well as I could have. Luckily, I have had many people enter my life that have helped shape me and guide me on my path from mentors, friends, or church leaders. Now, I feel Christ's love and I feel passion for these truths and know them to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by centering my life around it. Even though I'm on a mission and it literally is my life right now, I know that when I'm home, it's going to be my foundation. Everything in my life flows from my faith. I know that having this Church in my life is going to set the groundwork for who I am at 21, 30, 50, 80 and into the eternities. Whether it's going on a mission, when I start a family, how I raise them, which career I want, or anything, I know that my faith will be my rock.
