Hi I'm Heidi

I am the mother of four wonderful children. I love to remodel homes and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing things with my hands. I have made furniture, pottery, and crocheted blankets. I am currently gardening, building a pirate-ship tree house for my kids, and basically anything to do with remodeling our home. I just recently competed in my first triathlon and loved it. I plan to continue competing and perhaps work my way up to an Ironman. I love my husband and kids and enjoy reading with them, watching movies and playing together.

Why I am a Mormon

In my teenage years, I was questioning why I was Mormon. I went on a trip to all the church sites with a group of other teenagers and while at the Sacred Grove, where Joseph Smith prayed, I also knelt and prayed for confirmation that the church was true. There was no bright light and miraculous occurrence but I knew. I knew I was in the right church. Ever since that day, I have tried to live what I believe and teach my children those things that I know.

How I live my faith

I have 2 jobs within our church. I play the piano for our children's singing time. Every Sunday I play it takes great courage. I am not a very good pianist, but I truly believe I am meant to help in this way. I sit down and pray that I will be able to play the best I can and each time my prayer is answered. I am far from perfect but each week I get better and the children don't even seem to notice all of my mistakes. I also help plan and follow-through with activities especially prepared for our women. I feel that serving the women and children help me grow and I am so grateful for that chance. I also try to be an example, along with my family, in living what we believe to neighbors, friends and family.
