Hi I'm Jenae

I live in Colorado. I go to school in the morning and work in the evening. I love to act and dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college. I would like to get into Photography, Architecture, Interior Design, and Floral Design once I get my Associates Degree. My passions are dancing and acting. I have played in two Shakespeare plays (one role was a duke and the other was a girl dressed like a guy) and I have been in four dance recitals doing ballet, jaz, tap, and hip hop. I love to make people laugh by acting like other people and singing with weird voices. The only sport I like to play is volleyball. I like to read fantasy books and making up stories. I love to be in the mountains where there are tons of trees. I love to go camping and fishing. I am a sister and an aunt. I love being with my family and my friends playing games and talking with each other.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. I haven't really understood what God expected of me and who I was while I was growing up. I am still learning what my purpose is here on earth, but I have grown to really know and love my Heavenly Father. For a while I wasn't really into the gospel. I thought that reading the scriptures and praying to someone we couldn't see was a little weird and a waste of my time, but I came to realize a difference in my life. I noticed that I was more misserable, frustrated, and always finding fault with every little thing. I was not happy with who I was and I knew I needed to change, but for a long time I was stubborn. I did not want to change because I was so use to the way I was. The story of Joseph Smith when he went to the grove of trees to pray about which church he should join was what helped my heart understand the gospel. The scripture he read, James 1:5, hit me like a rock. I had a strong feeling that I should pray and read the scriptures to help me get back on track. For the first time I truely felt the Spirit testify to me that Heavenly Father lives and loves us. He knows what we go through and tries to help us get through our trials. Since then I have tried to be close to my Heavenly Father and His Spirit. I have been happier, more successful with work and school, and have been at peace knowing someone is looking after me and cares about me.

How I live my faith

I am a counsilor in a womens group in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I help the ladies become closer to our Heavenly Father and to each other by visiting them to see how they are doing and organising activities where they can meet other ladies and make new friends. I try to show them that they are loved by our Heavenly Father, the members of the church, and by me. I also try to help them know that they have someone to go to for help whenever they need. Everyday, I pray that I will always remember our Savior and try to do what He would do. I try to be kind and forgiving to everyone that I am around. I look for ways to serve the Lord, by doing small acts of kindness.
