Hi I'm Cali

I'm a Wife and Mother, I love thunderstorms and snow, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Littleton, Colorado. I grew up hiking and biking. I love to rock climb and rappel, but I am a little rusty. I went to college at BYU-Idaho. There I met my husband. We were married in the Denver Temple. Through him I developed a love of Idaho and have become a "potato snob." We love potatoes. We currently live in Covington, Washington. I love Washington, but do not like seafood. I love cookies fresh from the oven and will eat a dozen at a time if it is available. I am a junk food junkie. I am a mom of two children, a boy and a girl. My husband and children all share the same birthday. It makes for a crazy day, but it is fun. I love my family. We are followers of Christ, and I’m a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I never knew anything different, but my parents did. They converted in high school. They were not active until my dad was stationed in Germany while he was in the Army. There they met some great people who brought them back to church. My parents knew it was true and were then sealed in the temple. Through their love of the gospel, I was instilled with a desire to know more. I have studied and prayed, and know it is true. I am a Mormon because of the example my parents are, as well as the examples I had around me growing up who gave me the desire to learn and grow. I am a Mormon because of the morals and values this church stands for. I am a Mormon, because I can be sealed to my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and what he did for me. I am a Mormon, because I am not perfect, but I can become perfected in Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Primary President in our ward. The Primary is the organization over the children 18 months to 12 years old. I love the children and what they teach me. They are so pure and innocent and always say something I need to hear. The faith they have is what I want. It is the best calling I have held yet. I have been a counselor in the Primary Presidency as well. I have also taught specific primary classes. I have also been the primary chorister. (I taught the children songs and led them.) I have also worked with the youth. I have taught Sunday School and the young women as well. I love to serve.
