Hi I'm Kayleen

I'm a photographer, a mother, a wife and a daughter of God. I love to create. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 3 and a wife to the best husband a girl could ask for. I love so many things, including music, thrift shopping, sewing and photography. I am at my happiest when I feel healthy. Volleyball is one of my favorite sports and working out is a necessity in my routine. My kids are stubborn and strongwilled and I wouldn't have it any other way. They will have to have a strong belief of who they are to stay afloat in this day, and I want to be able to teach them that it is through the Lord that we find ourselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 8 years old, like many others in the church. I was raised in the church, and I watched my parents as they set an example of faith and diligence in serving the Lord. My testimony has come, and will continue to come bit by bit as I serve. I am also touched each week as I attend my church meetings. I always come away with a renewed determination to better myself through prayer and personal revelation. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church upon the earth today. By reading the scriptures, I have come to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who was led by the Godhead to restore the church upon the earth. I know that I can become more patient, kind and humble through following the teachings given by our prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. I know that God lives and that he loves me. He knows me personally, better than I know myself. He listens when I pray and teaches me patience through personal struggles. He understands my sorrows and rejoices when I am happy. I know that I can achieve greatness through Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church as the pianist in our Sunday women's meeting called Relief Society. I also serve as the youth camp director for the girls ages 12-18 in our area. We go to girls camp for 4-5 days, once a year, but camp is planned year round. We plan fun activities and yummy meals as well as hikes and first aid certification. Most importantly, we schedule lessons and devotionals that teach the girls to find faith in Christ. We want them to come away from their yearly camp experience with confindence to start a new school year. We want them to know that they can rely on Christ to help them through daily friend struggles, tests, temptations and trials that every teen faces. I love girls camp, and I know that this program is inspired by God. I went to 6 years of camp when I was a girl. I loved it. It built my testimony and taught me that I can be a strong woman through Christ.
