Hi I'm Marsha

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and Arizona. I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. I am also a registered nurse.

About Me

I came from a large family, not much money, but lots of love. I went to college to become a nurse. I worked in the intensive care unit for many years, and worked some in the E.R. I married after college and had a small family. Our oldest child has siezures and is mentally challenged. We have had to rely on the Lord through faith, to be able to meet and deal with the many challenges that we have had to face in caring for her. But we have seen so many blessing in our behalf and we have grown close and learned so much.  I am a grandmother too! And that is a real special joy in my life, spending time with my grandkids. I love to go hiking in the mountains with them or, playing on the beach. We love making cookies together or reading story books and coloring pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents from a long line of Mormons. I was taught as a child the story of Joseph Smith, the stories of the Book of Mormon and Bible and other doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents had strong testimonies of the Gospel and shared them with me. I followed the standards and teachings of the church and loved them. But when I was in college, I knew that I wanted to really know for myself if it was true and have my own Testimony. I studied and I knelt and asked God if these things I had been taught were true. I received an answer that was a warm sweet peaceful feeling and His spirit touched my heart, and I knew for myself that these things were true. As I have followed the Gospel, through out my life, I have and many, many experiences that have strengthened my testimony and I have felt the hand of the Lord in my Life. I'm a Morman because I love God and His son Jesus Christ, and I have witnessed the joy and peace the Gospel brings, even in hard trying times. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, by any means, but I am greatful for the doctrines and the standards of the chruch that guide me. I am also thankful for the many great examples of the valient members of the church. I am greatful for the opportunites to serve others by working in the organizations in the church. Through the years I have had the opportunity to teach the young children in Sunday school. I have worked with the teenage girls camp where I was asked to be camp nurse. I helped put together roadshows which are short musical plays put on by the youth and dance festivals. I have worked with the women organization and helped families in need get food, clothing and transportation. I try to live the commandments, pray and study the scriptures and have love for others. I know this is the way to be happy and have His spirit to be with me. I need His guidence in my life.
