Hi I'm Jennifer

I am a single mom, full time student, navy reservist, substitute teacher, full time awesome, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, a sailor, a friend. I am Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer: I KNOW. Above everything else, I know. I feel it when I go to church, I feel it when I read the scripture, I feel it when I listen to the Prophet speak. The longer answer: I am not perfect, I have a lot of faults. But it's because of my Savior that I can be forgiven. Each day I am trying to do better, be better, be a better mom, a better friend, a better member of the church. It is through my Savior and his Atonement that I can become more like him each day. I will never reach perfection but the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me a road map to be the best person I can be. I heard once something to the effect of, everything won't be perfect or even close to it, but God is proud of me for what I did TODAY! I know this is how I want to raise my little boy. He is my pride and joy. He has such a sweet spirit. He loves going to church and singing about Jesus and families. He loves to learn. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father everyday for trusting me with him. I am teaching him to love the Lord and to rely on him in times that are hard. Hearing him say his prayers and pray for those in our family, increases my faith and my love for our Savior. To have faith as a child is something I strive for. To trust my Heavenly Father as I pray and receive answers to my prayers to follow in faith, is something I work on every day. I have been around this amazing world that is our home, seen all kinds of cultures and people. I know each one of them is a child of God. He love them, he loves you. I am grateful for my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am grateful for my knowledge that Families can be together forever, I am grateful for a living prophet on the eath today, I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior that cares about me. I want you to know He loves you too!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my example, to my friends, my family, my co-workers. I have been in the military for 13 years and love to serve this country. I am usually the one you hear saying "do you really need to talk like that?" also know as the one with the sign above her desk that say "Be Nice" I jokingly tell my fellow service members that is for you to be nice to me! :) I hope that I have the light of Christ shine through me as I go through my day. I live my faith each day as I teach my little boy about our Savior, and teaching him to be kind and loving to those he is in contact with each day. I want him to grow up to a man of honor and integrity. I have had a lot of hard times in my life. Made some decision that weren't the best. The beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is it is steadfast and unmovable even when the rest of the world is always shifting. The Gospel has been a constant in my life. Something I can hold on to, and know that in this crazy world we call life, there is something to guide and direct my decisions.
