Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a mother, wife & registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy crafting, decorating, cooking & doing things with my family. I like to travel and would love to learn carpentry. I am a daughter, a little sister to 6 siblings, a wife, a mother to four and a daughter of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I grew up going to church each Sunday and other church activities along with my parents and siblings. I loved going to class as a child where we learned about Jesus Christ through lessons and song. I grew up with amazing parents that always made it a priority to read the scriptures and pray together as a family on a regular basis. We would get up before school & sit around the kitchen table, while it was still dark outside and learn together from the scriptures. We learned about how to treat one another. We learned about serving others and the power we get when we chose the right. We also learned about developing good habits. At the time, I didn’t think this was any different than any other family but the older I got, the more I recognized the feelings of peace that accompanied our home. That doesn’t mean we didn’t fight and argue like normal kids, but we had the tools we needed to work through the problems we had by looking at the example of our parents, our leaders & most importantly the greatest teacher of all, the Savior. I slowly began to develop my own testimony of the gospel. This happened through many small experiences & lessons in church, where feelings would come from the holy ghost that what I was learning and feeling was truth. I know I have a Savior who suffered for my sins so that I can be forgiven of my imperfections. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith is a true prophet who was an essential part of bringing the gospel to us. I know that my family can be together forever through the blessings of the Temple. I know we have a living prophet today, whom we can look for guidance and direction. Knowing these things doesn’t mean life is always easy but it means that we can find strength in knowing there is a bigger picture. A picture that includes a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to succeed.

How I live my faith

I live my life each day trying to be better than the day before. Trying to be a good example for my children. Learning from my children about patience, love and sacrifice. I know there are lots of good things out there to take up our time, so many that we can’t do it all. I find it very fulfilling to be able to not only help & teach my own family but to be able to serve others. In the church I have had the opportunity the past couple years to teach the 16-18yr old young women about the Gospel. More often than not we are learning together & growing together through service projects and activities we do each week. They make me want to be better and those are the people I like to be around. We are in this together and it’s more fun to help each other along the way.
