Hi I'm Cynthia

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I am the fourth of eight children. I am a proud aunt and sister, and I love my family.

About Me

I am an avid reader who thrills in opening a new book, and savoring the words on each page. I am a writer myself, and I especially love writing short stories and poetry. I love spending time out in nature, just taking it all in. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida Tampa Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and have been blessed in countless ways because of it. I have felt the love of the Savior reach out and comfort me. I choose to keep His commandments because it has never ceased to bring blessings. I am a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm in my heart that the things I've been taught are true. I just assumed it was true when I was little because my parents taught me. But as I've grown older, I've taken the time to learn for myself whether or not it's true. And it is! The only way to truly know is to find out for yourself. You can't rely on someone else's experience to know.

How I live my faith

One of the most important things to me is to treat everyone kindly. In reality, every single person that you meet is a child of God, and he loves all of us. We need to treat those we interact with like the special people they are. No one is perfect, but we are here on this earth to do our best. I live my faith by giving my all to my Heavenly Father. I trust that He has a plan for me, and even though sometimes it is hard to give up control and let him steer my life, it always turns out for the better. I chose to leave behind life as a college student to serve a mission. I dedicate all of my time to serve the people in Florida by teaching them how they can live with their families forever.
