Hi I'm Libby

I am a devoted mom, friend, volunteer, researcher and wife. I want others to know they are loved and supported. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six amazing kids that range from 4-24. Our home is always full of people!! We love to open our doors to those in need and for those who need to know they are loved and cared about. In doing so we sometimes have more living with us than our normal 8. I love to volunteer at the local schools and for whatever extra curriculars the kids are involved in. I have an amazing husband that stands with me as an equal partner in supporting our family and the surrounding community. We have a little girl who suffers with a very rare auto inflammatory disease called CRMO. For the past 3 years she has spent much time in the hospital. I spend many hours looking for answers for our little one and locating and supporting others who suffer from this disease.

Why I am a Mormon

My entire family joined the church in a little town in Colorado while my parents attended the local university. We had been searching for answers to many familiar questions..."who we are, where did we come from, why we are here and where we are going." I remember visiting other churches that were filled with wonderful people, but I vividly recall the peaceful feeling I felt when we started attending the LDS church- they had an understanding of things I was looking for. Over the years, my testimony- the things I know for sure, has deepened as I have learned about my Savior and the plan He has for me. I have learned the value of service, of loving those around me. I have learned about the joy and peace that comes with faith and knowledge. I have learned that we lived with loving Heavenly Father before this earth began and that we are here for a reason and will continue after this life is over. I have learned that the family that we love so dearly, here upon the earth, is eternal and we can be with them forever through correct choices. And I truly know that my Savior lives and loves us!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by loving and supporting those around me! There are so many opportunities to make others burdens lighter. I have worked in the church with all age groups- from the very little ones, to the teens, to the elderly. I currenly serve in the Relief Society Stake presidency, serving hundreds of women in my area. We organize service activities for the women in the community, support the local Relief Society leaders and respond to the needs of the women in our area. The Relief Society is a womans organization that provides opportunities to increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and help those in need. I also care personally for a handful of women that I check on at least monthly. Even though this begins as an assignment- these women and their families become dear and wonderful friends. Our family has worked with the Veterans of Foreign War, the Boy Scouts of America, the Pudget Sound Blood Center, StopCAIDnow and many local schools. By working with the community and serving those around us we try hard to make the world a better place. I know there are countless blessings in serving others!!
