Hi I'm Bart

My wife and I have 3 beautiful girls and 1 all-american boy. I'm an electrical estimator, western gentleman and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy hunting, fishing, watching movies, and riding dirt bikes. I grew up in a small farm community helping farmers irrigate and bring in their crops. Enjoyed raising livestock on a small family farm in Eastern Idaho. I have broke and trained many horses. I have six brothers and one sister. I served a mission in Central Illinois, and had the opportunity to see much of the early history of our church while I was there. After I returned home I spent some time going to college. Then after many, many long years met my beautiful wife while I was working road construction in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was running a backhoe crew at the time, which is another love in my life (the backhoe). Shortly after that I was given an opportunity to move back to Idaho Falls, Idaho and be an electrical estimator which I have done for the last 14 years. That career has brought me to the Northwest where I currently reside. Here I have had the opportunity to watch my little girls be cheerleaders and my little boy try out baseball and football.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of how it makes me feel. Someone once told me it felt like coming home, which is the best way I can describe my feelings. It has always rang true to me that we must have come from a loving Heavenly Father who would not neglect or ignore us. Because of that I have a strong testimony of a living Prophet and Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know they are called by Jesus Christ, who I know is our Savior. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. I know the complete Gospel of Jesus Christ is found in His church, which bears His name. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, as well as the Bible. I am able to know this by how I feel when I read and pray. I know that anyone who will do the same will be able to know for themselves that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I try to put what I believe into practice in my daily life by reading my scriptures and trying hard to do what they say I should do. I enjoy daily communication with my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, through daily prayer and try to use that in all my decisions in life, even those that seem somewhat mundane or simple. I try to spend quality time with my family because I know that families can be together forever and I want to nurture those feelings daily with each and every one of them.
