Hi I'm Raymond

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father, two of the most important roles that I will ever have in my life. I love being both. The best part of my day is walking into the house and having my son and little girls come running, screaming, "Daddy's home! Daddy Daddy Daddy!" Watching my children grow, develop, learn and discover through some of the things I've been able to share with them is one of the greatest feelings ever. I am filled with joy. I feel so blessed that my profession is also my hobby. I own a pest control company and taking care of public health and property is something I'm very passionate about. The world around us is so interesting and fascinating and I get to experience it in ways that most people don't. I have the chance to be a hero everyday, by eliminating infestations that take over peoples' lives. It is so much fun. I love basketball, hiking, camping, fishing, golf and most things outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe there is good all around us. I witness good in the people I meet and places I go. I know there are bits and pieces of eternal truth everywhere you look. Sometimes you have to slow down to observe them, sometimes they are too large to see with our small, narrow perspectives. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of his children. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind, that He bore the things He did on Earth to pay the debt that we cannot pay ourselves. We will live with Him again! I believe that if there ever was a time in human history that we needed direct revelation from God through a prophet concerning the affairs of man, this is the time. A loving God would not leave His children alone during these times. I testify and have great faith that the fullness of the Gospel has been gloriously restored, and some of the more plain and precious truths that were lost along the way have been restored. I believe that every man, woman and child that is here on Earth, has made the decision to be here. We all just need to become aware or reminded of that decision. I am a Mormon because Jesus loved me way before I loved Him. The scriptures teach me about His true nature, His love, His teachings and His plan for our redemption and happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a loving and caring husband. I live my faith by raising my children in a way that they will be a force for good in the world, that they may be the light of Christ in dark places. I live my faith by recognizing the source of blessings and joy in my life, and showing humility and gratitude for them through sincere prayer. I live my faith by sharing all that I have with those around me, whether it be my time, talents, possessions or finances. Why not? It never really was mine to begin with. I live my faith by working hard and being honest. I live my faith when I share my testimony about the love the Savior has for all of His children. I live my faith when I teach about the Savior at home or at church. I live my faith when I keep promises that I have made with God, because I know He will keep His promises to me. I live my faith by standing up for the cause of Christ, with my words and in my actions, no matter what the cost are to me personally. I have temporarily lost friends over my faith, and have gained salvation and joy.
