Hi I'm Marcia

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, runner, swimmer, and biker. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart 30 years ago. We have been blessed with two boys and two girls and now two grandchildren. Our family loves to be active. We love to be together and do things together. We love to boat, run, swim, bike, hike and travel. When we are exhausted we love to watch movies together, read and eat. If there is any spare time left fill it with cooking and discovering new recipes and discovering searching for my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 8 but my family did not continue to attend. My name was on the attendance rolls for the youth organization. My youth leader came to the house and invited me to attend. When I was with her and being taught the gospel I KNEW that what I was being taught was correct, it felt like I was returning to something I already knew but had forgotten. When I study the scriptures, attend my meetings, pray to my Heavenly Father I am filled with ever lasting peace and joy. That is why I have chosen to continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I have continued to follow the teachings of the Savior because of the joy that it brings into my life, joy that doesn't fade. It doesn't mean that I don't have trials but His teachings give me strength as I go through them. Through my trials I have learned that my Heavenly Father is there for me. I also continue to adhere to the teachings of the gospel because of our belief that families can be together forever. It seems logical to me that families should remain intact after this life. That is a big motivator for me to continue to adhere to the teachings of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good parent to my children, by being a loving wife to my husband. By being a good daughter to my aging parents. By being a good mother-in-law. and by being a good friend. I trying to make sure that I am pleasant to those I meet out in our community. I also serve others, which brings me the greatest joy. I also live my faith by following the words of the prophets, by reading my scriptures and praying. These habits bring personal revelation that guides me through my days and bring peace into my heart.
