Hi I'm Erin

I grew up in Southern California, I worked as a broadcast journalist, I have a loving family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently moved here to Nebraska for my husband's job. We met out at Brigham Young University while going to college. I studied Broadcast Journalism, Communications and he studied Chemical Engineering. We have been married for a little over one year. Upon graduating college, I worked at KSL Television in Salt Lake City, UT while my husband finished his engineering degree. Upon moving to Nebraska, I got a job at a law firm. We have met such wonderful, genuine, and down-to-earth people since moving here. We love the people out here.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it brings unequaled happiness into my life. By being a member of the church, I have seen miracles in my life and in the lives of my friends. Being a member of the church allows me to gain knowledge about who I am, where I came from, and where I am going and want to go in life. The knowledge and faith that I have in our Savior Jesus Christ has strengthened me during times of struggle and turmoil in my life and He has proved faithful during those times. Being a faithful member of the church allows me to live eternally with my family and grants me the privilege of going to the temple and receiving the blessings that temple attendance offers. By being a member of the church I have gained a knowledge about life after death and know that we can and that we will see our loved ones again some day.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Young Women's President in Columbus. That means I get the privilege of teaching and strengthening the 12-18 year old girls who attend church. We meet on Sundays during church hours and I give a lesson every Sunday. We also meet on Wednesday evenings for one hour for fun and uplifting activities. We am also a Visiting Teacher and look-after four women in our church. Once a month I go to their homes and spend some time with them visiting and checking in on them to ensure they are doing well and are happy. The program of Visiting Teaching helps women in the church meet and sustain lasting friendships.
