Hi I'm Whitley

I'm a choir/theatre geek. I am strong and independant with a crazy imagination. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 17 years old and singing is my life. Church choir, school choir, musical theatre, even belting in the car, I do it all. I have been a part of my area’s regional choir and sang on a rehearsal CD for R. Karlos NakaÌ at Canyon Records. I have been in 7 theatrical productions in the past 5 years. My mind is its own world. Whether it’s daydreaming, poetry, journal writing, or composing, I am always thinking about something else. I can’t stay focused for long periods of time and I mostly blame it on boys. After graduation I plan to study psychology with early childhood development classes on the side to learn how to be the best mom I can be. I am the second oldest of 9 children and love it. I want my children (when they come) to have the same home and family life that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised from birth as a Mormon. My dad has been a member his whole life and my mom was baptized when she was 16. I’m a Mormon because it makes sense to me. Everything I have learned since I was little until now, all fit together so perfectly. I have had personal experiences that can only be explained through the knowledge that I have a Savior who loves me and is watching out for me every day of my life.

How I live my faith

I attend seminary every day. I have partial stewardship of the 16 and 17 year old girls in my ward as the first counselor of the laurel clasd and am often participating in actions included in that sacred calling. I go to mutual every Wednesday night and Church every Sunday morning. I refuse to do anything that would interfere with these activities. I surround myself with people of similar standards as mine. Not just members of the church, but good people who lift me up and encourage me to be more like Christ.
