Hi I'm Hailey

I am a writer, a college student, a missionary, and a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a family of five, and I have a little brother and a little sister who I adore. I love my family. I just finished my first year at Brigham Young University, studying English. I hope to become a high teacher in the next few years. I have always loved to write poetry and short stories. I also sing, draw, and I enjoy playing tennis in my free time. However, I am about to put all of that on hold for the moment and go and serve a mission in Campinas, Brazil!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel brings me joy. I love seeing the influence it has on me personally, as well as on my friends and family. It brings a sense of peace, security, and happiness into my life that nothing else can. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it has given me guidance countless times throughout my life. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know that God is my Heavenly Father, and that He loves me unconditionally. I am infinitely grateful for the Savior's atonement, for repentance, and for forgiveness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live as Christ did. I follow the counsel of modern day prophets, making sure to study the scriptures and pray diligently every night. Doing so has filled my life with a profound sense of peace. I also attend many religion classes that teach about the Book of Mormon and other books of scripture, such as the Old and New Testaments. I try my best to have charity and love for the people around me, and to look forward with optimism, even when life gets a little tough. I am also about to go serve a mission for eighteen months! I am so excited to share the gospel and my love of Christ with the people of Brazil.
