Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a father who loves his family. I'm a Japanese speaking investment professional who loves sports and travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m surrounded by pink and if you don’t look close you may think I’m someone else. Through 15 years of marriage, my wonderful wife and I have been blessed with 4 beautiful daughters. Just when we gave up hope for a boy, he came. I love my family. My four daughters and one son bring great joy to my life. My beautiful wife is a loving friend, companion, and mother. I don’t sit still. I love staying actively involved in sports, recreation, and travel. After growing up in Southern California, I love the beach. I’ve found little to compare to being in the surf at sunset. I particularly love the islands of Hawaii, and we visit frequently. I have been waiting 15 years to be drafted as a receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. In the meantime, I cofounded an investment business and love being involved with Wall Street. I have a fraternal twin brother, although most would assume we are identical. Growing up a twin was great and we still enjoy whatever chance we get to confuse others.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born and raised as a member of the Church, I always appreciated my Mother’s conversion after being raised Lutheran. While I believe there are great social benefits to being active in a church, I also believe that choosing a church to attend is about much more. I believe that true religion is about man’s search for eternal truths. And while I know that religions around the word are filled with many great truths and teachings, I have faith in the restoration of the gospel in its fullness. I feel like my faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, my belief in the scriptures and a modern prophet, and my understanding of the gospel has come little by little, piece by piece, over many years-absent of any “miraculous event”–but through countless real life experiences that have confirmed in my heart that the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I believe that I am a child of God who loves me and knows of my personal challenges, struggles and victories. This belief influences the way I treat others and the things I pursue in life. I attend church services regularly with my family and look for opportunities to serve others both within and outside the church. I love the church’s emphasis on Family, and my wife and I strive to raise our children to be loving, good, Christ-like people. Part of life is being challenged. I recently lost my mother-in-law to a sudden brain tumor. I love my mother-in-law and her early loss was heart breaking to me, my children and especially my wife. Sometimes we look to God and ask “why”? It is said that “having faith in God means having faith in his timing”. While we’ve experienced many tears and have mourned together, we have also found great strength through the teaching of the gospel and the blessings of being sealed as an eternal family. We have hope through Christ.
