Hi I'm Hope

I am married to an amazing husband & have two beautiful children. I am a wedding & event videographer and LOVE it!

About Me

Ten years ago I was attending college to be a teacher when the cutest, most charming guy swept me off my feet.... literally! On our first date, we went swing dancing and my feet went flying off the dance floor and I ended up getting 7 staples in the back of my head! About a year after we met, we got married and now have two beautiful children together. I could never have dreamt of having a happier or more wonderful life! I love to be creative and I love my job! I am a wedding and event videographer.

Why I am a Mormon

When I met my husband for the first time, I was what you would consider anti-Mormon. I loved the church I belonged to and had no intention of ever changing. On our second date together when religion was brought up and I found out he was Mormon, I told him that I could never see him again and got up to leave. He grabbed my hand and shared with me that he believed in Jesus Christ and as we continued talking, I found out that we had many similarities in faith, but many differences as well. As the dating continued, I fell hard and fast and so did he. I knew that I wanted to spend my life with him, but his religion still made me uncomfortable. My family disapproved of me dating him and things became extremely difficult for me. I was sad, lonely, and fell asleep crying many MANY night. But through it all, I kept praying that God would be with me and help me know what to do. Finally I felt like I had to figure things out for myself. I ran across the scripture James 1:5 that says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God..." And that's exactly what I did. I attended a Mormon church service. I got a Book of Mormon and read it from cover to cover. I prayed and prayed some more. And the answers came. God let me know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Its teaching of God, the atonement, life after death, and eternal families are TRUE! I know the decisions I have made have been hard for my family to accept, but I do not regret investigating the church 10 years ago or deciding to live my life and raise my family in this church.

How I live my faith

I love being a mother. I love watching my children learn and grow. Tears have rolled down my cheeks as I have watched them say "Mommy" or walk across the room for the first time. My heart melts each night as I listen while they humbly and reverently say their bedtime prayers. I know that the teachings of Jesus Christ help me to be a patient and good mother. I hope that I can raise them to be witnesses of Christ at all times and in all places. I love my husband and our shared faith has created a marriage that is strong. We continue to feel like newlyweds and can't spend enough time together ... so it is good that we are going to be together forever!!! I have a testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that if we use the atonement in our lives and follow His teachings, we will be reunited again with Him someday. I look forward to a lifetime of faithfully serving the Lord!
