Hi I'm Raquelle

I love to read. I'm a student in high school. I love the Midwest. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. I also enjoy babysitting, swimming, and just hanging out with my friends. I'm in high school and I love to learn!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. I enjoy all the opportunities it gives me to be a member, to serve and reach out to others. I love the scriptures and the fact that nothing my church teaches is out of harmony with what they say.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I try to live as Christ taught. One way I do this is by being a leader in my youth group. I try to make sure that everyone is coming and everyone is having a good time. I also plan activities and make sure they run smoothly.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

To know if this Church is true, you should pray and ask God, and He will tell you. The answer may not come right away, and everyone receives answers differently, but the answer will come. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is a wonderful experience. We give what might seem a lot in time, talents, and material possessions but receive so many blessings from God in return. Being a member of this church and living according to the standards set forth by God has given me great happiness and peace. I know that when troubles come I will not be alone, and that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father who cares and wants me to succeed. This knowledge alone has changed my entire life for the better, and I am so grateful to be a member of this church. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I would say we are much like other women. We are all different and have varying abilities and talents, but we are bound together by a willingness to serve and a love of God. Mormons do believe very much in the equality of men and women, although both genders have differing roles in the function of the church. Show more Show less

How does the Church finance its operations?

Church members pay one-tenth of their earnings, called tithing, to the church. The church then uses these funds to pay for expenses. There are great blessings to be found in paying tithing, and I know that God appreciates each member's contribution. It may seem like a lot, but honestly the money is not missed as much as you'd think. We've found in our family that things are generally worse when we don't pay tithing! Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we definitely do not worship Joseph Smith. We honor him as a great example, a prophet and leader, but worship? No. Worship is reserved for God and His Son Jesus Christ. Frankly, no one else is worthy of worship. Show more Show less
