Hi I'm Cheryl.

I'm a mom of four. I'm a fun-planner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mom of four terrific kids. They keep me pretty busy but it's great! I love to have fun and I love to learn. If I've got a free minute or two, you can find me running, knitting, reading, or singing. Being a full time mom has been important to me since I was very young because my childhood was what you'd call rough. I overcame my abuse history using faith, talk therapy, and the sense of humor I was blessed with. Today, I am living all my dreams because I have a loving husband and a family where everyone is safe.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old, I started attending church on my own. Going to church without any members of my family was sometimes scary, but I could feel that I had a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father. That relationship is what got me through a lot of hard years. I always knew God was aware of me, and I never doubted that He was the one who blessed me with the people who were lifelines in my life. I learned about the nature of my Heavenly Father through the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I knew they were true.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to serve in my church is when I get to plan fun activities for the 8-11 year-old girls twice a month. We learn new skills, or do service projects, or just have a pool party where everyone can bring their favorite treat. I love to see the range of their personalities and how they respond to the different situations, and I feel blessed to be able to help them feel positive about themselves at such an important age.
