Hi I'm Erik

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, friend and a doctor. If I have a free moment I usually spend it with my family; otherwise I enjoy soccer, baseball, fly fishing, camping, music, and travelling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During a world that is full of fear and chaos, being an active member blesses me with continual peace and joy. Our Heavenly Father has designed a perfect plan that allows each of us to demonstrate our earthly potential and at the same time be forgiven of our imperfections. To help us along the way, we have modern day prophet and apostles. These men are called of God and have been given the authority and power to act in Heavenly Fathers' name. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. The Book of Mormon is true and is a witness of Jesus Christ. By reading the Book of Mormon, we may all come to know our Heavenly Father and will have a better understanding of His love. He knows our potential and as a loving parent, He wants us to return to Him. The teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints allow us to return to Him.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for my parents and for their righteousness. They taught me by example and through service. My testimony of the Gospel grew as I had the opportunity to serve others. I served a full time mission in Lima Peru and was given daily opportunities to teach the Gospel and perform community service. I currently have the privilege of serving with the 12-13 year old youth of my ward. I participate in weekly activities, monthly campouts and weekly discussions. My family enjoys serving others. My son loves serving at a local charity where he gets to place price tags on items to sell. He also enjoys cleaning the church building. Although I enjoy service projects and physically helping others, the easiest way for me to live my faith is by being an honest, virtuous and trustworthy citizen.
