Hi I'm Megan

I'm an adrenaline junkie, I love camping and fishing, I'm spontaneous and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love camping and the outdoors. I play almost all sports, but I love baseball. I played basketball and softball in High School and really enjoy playing and watching. I love watching and quoting movies! I love to laugh and have a good time. This life can be super tough, so I like to get through it with laughter. I am a thrill seeker and love doing crazy things and acting silly. I love my family very much and they mean everything to me! I am a proud aunt of 21 nieces and nephews! My faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ is what keeps me going each and every day of my life and I am so grateful to be a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In my younger years it was not important to me, I didn't want to go to Church but in my family it wasn't an option. I always went, but didn't get much out of it and made it really hard for my leaders and teachers. When I moved away for College, it was now my choice whether or not to go to church. I chose not to go for a long time. Growing up in the Church I never knew what it was like to not have it and the blessings it brought to my life. This time in my life without the Gospel was the most unhappy I'd ever been. The lifestyle those around me were living was not what I was used to and it was not bringing the happiness I sought. Needless to say, I started going to Church again and started hanging out with friends that were good examples, and I saw that happiness and love come back into my life that was lost when I was living a very worldly life.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in Baltimore, Maryland for 18 months where I taught my fellow brothers and sisters about Jesus Christ and his restored church. Before my mission I served on numerous committees in my local church. I helped organize activities for young single adults, and I organized a "sub for Santa" for children who's families couldn't afford Christmas gifts. Everything I do in my church enables me to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to serve God's children.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Megan
You can know if this is Christ's true church by reading the Book of Mormon and sincerely praying to our Father in Heaven to know if it is true or not. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." James 1:5-6 I know that God does answer our prayers. Usually through the Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit, who speaks peace to our minds and warms our hearts. It's very simple, either it is true, or it is not. I have prayed about this church and about the Book of Mormon for myself and know by the witness of the Spirit that it is indeed Christ's only true church upon the face of the earth.
