Hi I'm Trevor Jensen

I am a pediatric dentist, husband, and a father of 4 beautiful kids - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, father of 4 beautiful kids, pediatric dentist, outdoor enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon! I love what I do for a living, getting to work with children every day is both fun and fulfilling - they say the greatest things. I absolutely love to spend time in beautiful outdoor settings. There is something special about being completely surrounded by nature - and for some reason food tastes better out there. There is also something that boosts my spirituality when I am high in a mountain or somewhere else - I just have my belief confirmed that this earth is too beautiful to have been created by a random series of events. My family is completely wonderful and brings me joy every day, I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to be a husband and father. I hope to live a trustworthy life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a very good home with parents that were Mormon, and taught me about this church and its teachings. This was the foundation of my understanding of who God is, who Jesus Christ is and what He did for me. However, my commitment to being a Mormon really developed when I took the challenge to read the scriptures - especially the Book of Mormon - and prayed to know if it was true. It may seem strange or even unbelievable, but I believe that when I prayed about the truth of this church and the Book of Mormon, God helped me feel in my heart that it was true. His Holy Spirit is the way he communicates like this to His children, and anyone can have this experience if they truly and humbly approach God with a desire to know what is true. James 1:5 states "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Ask God with real intent and He will guide you to the truth.

How I live my faith

Currently in my ward - or church group - I have been asked to be the Mission Leader, which is the person that helps all the members of the church work well with the full-time missionaries (the guys in the white shirts with name-tags). I have the privilege of meeting many people that have a desire to know more about the church. It is inspiring to me when I see someone have the courage to study our church, read the Book of Mormon, and pray to know if it is true. It renews my sense of commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ and refreshes my desire to follow his command 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.' I served a full-time mission in Sonora, Mexico from 1997 to 1999. This period of 2 years truly shaped my goal to be the kind of person Christ wants me to be. I often fall short of that goal, but I believe I am blessed for trying, and hopefully I do better every day.
