Hi I'm Kenyon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to cook, camp, hunt and Jeep! I've got 4 kids, 3 are girls and the rest are boys HAHA! My wife just decided to go back to school and I'm in the middle of a career change. I grew up on a small farm in southeastern AZ. I love AZ, not sure I'd want to live anywhere else.

Why I am a Mormon

When new friends or acquaintances find out I'm Mormon they usually ask if I joined or grew up in the church. When I tell them I grew up in the church they say, "Ahhh". Like that's the only reason I'm Mormon. What most people don't realize is that everyone whether we've joined the church or grew up in it we've all converted or else we wouldn't do what we do. I remember trying to find the truth for myself. My parents always took me to church, I liked to go, I thought I beleived in what I was being taught but I remember wondering if it was my belief or my parents belief that kept me going. I had to know for myself if I really agreed with and believed my religion. I remember studying the Book of Mormon a little more and praying every night to know if it was true. I feel God answered my prayers and let me know that I had always believed but that I needed to pray to know that my religion, my parents religion was really God's religion given to bring us closer to him simply by living and following Christ's teachings left for us in scripture like the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

Just like most people I have faith in Christ, I believe that following his example and his gospel is the only way to return to live with him. My religion defines me, I'm always working to live better and teach my kids to live a better life. It's really a happier way to live. So many people think that religion is restricting but it's really the opposite. If you break man's laws you could be incarcerated, so how free are you then? Breaking God's laws

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Kenyon
We live like other Christians. We love our families, our church, our beliefs, the Lord. I like to think that we face lifes challenges with faith to get us through. In the hope and belief that there is more to this life and beyond this life to look forward to. Having that perspective keeps lifes problems in check, and while some may difficult we can overcome them all through Christ. Show more Show less
