Hi I'm Tyler

I am a husband and a father of 3 beautiful kids. I am a Pittsburg Steelers fan. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am an avid sports fan. I enjoy participating in and watching sports. I especially enjoy watching my children play sports. My Dad spent a few years living in Pittsburg and was "converted" to Steelers football, so naturally I was brought up as a Steelers fan. Growing up near a Blue Ribbon flyfishing stream made it very easy to develop a very strong love for flyfishing. I grew up fishing with my Dad. My Father is no longer living, but when I am on the river fishing, I am able to feel that connection to him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have taken the time to study out the gospel and ask my Heavenly Father if what I have learned is true. I grew up in a Mormon family and while I attended church regularly and partcipated in all the activities the church provides, I didn't really begin to believe the things I was learning until I was 18 and my Dad died suddenly. The details are to personal to share here, but dealing with the death of my father really made me question my beliefs, question whether God really existed and whether He loved me and if the things I had been taught growing up were true or not. I know that God lives, that He loves me. I know that we are all sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father and that He wants us all to return to live with him someday.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church gives me so many opportunities to serve my fellow man. I have had the ability to serve in various capacities in the church. I truly believe that if we really want to follow the Savior and become more like him, we must learn how to serve others. That was the Saviors whole mission on this Earth, to serve, to bring His gospel to mankind and show us the way back to our Heavenly Father.
