Hi I'm Jason

I love to wakeboard and go boating. I also love to travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the baby of the Family of which I love very much. I've got three siblings and have grown very close to them over the years and have come to appreciate them. I have been born of goodly parents that have loved and done more for me than I think I'll ever know. So my favorite hobby has to be anything that involves my Family. I know that I can be with my family forever and I take much joy in knowing that. I did attend a year of College before I left on my mission to serve in Mesa, Arizona. I am so grateful for what I know. It brings so much joy in my life so I'd figure I would share it with others. I do enjoy playing sports and tend to get a little competitive but love to play any kind of game for fun. I don't have any real specific hobbies that I love, I just love being with people. I've always enjoyed getting to know people and just talking. Most of all I love helping people. The feeling you get after helping someone out or giving any kind of service, either great or small, makes it all worth it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born into the gospel but I know that everyone has their own conversion story and everyone needs to find out the truth for themselves. I always tried to do the right thing as a child growing up. I always wanted to please people rather that do something because I know it was the right thing to do. Then eventually it got to a point in my life where I had to start doing things for me. I wanted to know if the things I had been taught my whole life were true or not. I have to admit I was expecting a grand visitation or some great spectical to tell me all this was true. I know of myself now that through having faith in something that is not seen but true will lead to knowing its true. It is a difficult step for someone like myself that tends to doubt but once you cast out that doubt and just have faith, things are just a lot easier. The real reason why I want to share with others this true restored gospel of Jesus Christ is because I know first hand that it makes me happy. I found out for myself that abiding by the teachings found in the LDS Church leads to a better life. I can tell everyone that will listen that I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is my Savior. It's great to be able to live with the hope and knowledge that I can live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

There are many ways to show your faith but that main way I feel closest to my Savior is when I am in the service of others. I know that when we love God with all our might, we will serve those around us with all our might. I've found that this does not have to be a huge difficult ordeal either. It's that simple small things we can do through out the day that can continually make others happy. Easy things like opening a door for someone or cooking a meal for a family or visiting the sick. Just smiling is a great expression of my faith and that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. Life's good and should be enjoyed rather than endured. Another way I try to live my faith is by striving to be like Christ. If others can get to know Christ a little more by knowing me I couldn't be more satisfied.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We know that after Jesus Christ died to save us, soon after his apostles were rejected and the world fell into another state of apostasy. Through the prophet Joseph Smith the Gospel was restored. That means all of the teachings, authority, the whole enchilada was restored to the earth. We know that the Paul taught us to be baptized by someone who holds the proper priesthood authority of God(Hebrews 5:4) We invite everyone to find out for them selves by asking God if these things are true. I know we can receive an answer if we ask in faith. After receiving this devine witness we invite everyone everywhere to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized by someone holding the proper authority of God. We all are commanded to be "born again" in order to "see the kingdom of God"(John 3:3-5) Baptism is vital to our salvation. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. Some may think we do with so many mormons sharing their testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. It is true that we respect and honor the life and works of Joseph Smith along with all of the Lord's Prophets. The reason why Joseph Smith is a popular topic when it comes to mormon's is because he was the prophet of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this day and age. If anyone were to know the true history of the life of Joseph Smith they would honor and revere this man. The trials and tribulations Joseph Smith went through to do the work the Lord gave him to do are incomparable. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I am so grateful that the Lord called Joseph Smith to usher in the Restored Gospel. Show more Show less
