Hi I'm Emily

I am a wife, mother and teacher. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am married to by best friend and together we are raising our two children. My husband has been a student for our whole married life. We strive to balance his schooling with our family life. Nothing is more important to us than our time together as a family. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Human Development and love to continue to learn and read about topics that interest me. One of my biggest joys as a mother is to watch my children love life and learning. I feel very grateful for the chance to spend each day at home with my children. Music is important to me and I hope to make it an important part of our home. I've played the violin since I was 5 and enjoy teaching music lessons to young children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents who instilled in me a strong faith and commitment to live what I believe. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives my life purpose and direction. The knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer gives me peace, hope, and helps me to find comfort in the challenges in my life. I know that through Him I can become the person that I hope to be and that Heavenly Father sees in me.

How I live my faith

Attending church each week, reading the scriptures, and praying each day help me to stay close to the Savior and live like God wants me to. We include our children in these things and hope to help them to establish habits that will bring them happiness in their lives and learn how to share what they know with others. I enjoy planning events for the women in my church to have opportunities to serve and socialize together.
