Hi I'm Jodi

I'm married to an amazing man, mother to 8 fantastic kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived most of my life in Arizona where I've come to appreciate the beauty of the desert. I'm definitely a 'desert rat' and prefer the heat to the cold. I grew up in a large family where I am the oldest of 10 children. I have the most wonderful parents in the world and I count my blessings every day for both my parents and my siblings and their families. I have an amazing husband who I have been married to for 27 years. We have 8 children (4 boys, 4 girls), ranging in age from 26yrs - 6 yrs old. We have an awesome son-in-law and 3 grand-children. I enjoy sports (both watching and playing), reading, sewing, photography, playing games, playing the piano, and traveling. I love the ocean, and going to Lake Powell each year with my parents and siblings/spouses, where we can enjoy one of the most beautiful places on earth as a family. I'm a stay at home mom. I love being a wife and mother and cheering on my children in their many activities (piano, swim, dive, cheerleading, etc). I recently took up running and have since finished my first 5K and 10K. I love to spend time with my family, both extended and immediate, and my family, along with the gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ, mean more to me than anything. I am so grateful for these blessings in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints my entire life. Being a Mormon has blessed my life in so many ways. My husband and I were sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple 27 years ago and I am so thankful for the blessings of the Temple that allow us to be sealed as families for eternity. I'm grateful for our living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, who guides and directs Christ's church here on earth. I know President Monson is a true prophet. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and I'm thankful for the restoration of the gospel. I'm thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for the love I know he has for me. The gospel brings joy and meaning to my life. I know I have a purpose to fulfill here on earth and I know I can live with my Heavenly Father again if I follow the example of my Savior and follow His teachings. I love the scriptures and I know The Book of Mormon is true. I love the gospel! I love my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, and I'm thankful for my membership in this, his true church!

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the church, from playing the piano and being a teacher in the different organizations to serving in presidencies in those organizations. I have enjoyed all of the different capacities that I have served in and have loved those I've served with. Currently I'm serving as a Visiting Teacher and Primary Chorister in my Ward, and also as the 1st Couselor in the Stake Young Women's Presidency in my Stake. I love being with the children and teaching them songs about Jesus and the gospel. We feel the spirit every Sunday as we sing. I also love the Young Women of our Stake. They are truly exceptional young ladies and are a wonderful example to all that associate with them and to their friends and neighbors. Having the opportunity to interact with both the children and the youth of the church, and to feel of their spirit, is indeed a blessing in my life.
