Hi I'm Heidi

I'm 49, I'm married, I have 5 kids and 2grand-daughters, Im a cancer survivor,I enjoy playing sports, traveling and love my life.

About Me

I'm a mom with 5 kids, and 2 grand-daughters. I'm a nurse, but feel blessed to be a stay home mom at this time. I enjoy biking, hiking, swimming and being outside. My favorite thing to do is to play with with my kids. While I love being with my family and extended family I"ve come to treasure my quiet times alone. I'm spontaneous, and love to explore different places. I'm happy and upbeat most of the time, I love talking to and helping people, and I get excited about little things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because first of all, as a young child that is all I knew, then when I went through my teen years, I often turned to prayer and reading scriptures when I was faced with hard things. I felt strength beyond my own, I felt peace and quiet direction for those things I couldn't control. This started a habit for me, not just when I felt I needed help, but a daily routine of reading scriptures and praying. Over the years I have come to know for a surety that I really do have a Heavenly Father that loves me and understands me personally, I have come to trust that I can tell him everything, I dont feel judged but have felt a flow of peace and love that he is there. He has become my truest friend and that has helped me want to be a better person. When I make mistakes I know I can turn to him again and again, it makes me feel better every time. I know I can do more with him than without him in my life. This has helped me have patience in my marriage, and understanding in raising my 5 children, that I am crazy about. Heavenly Father loves all his children no matter what they have done or where they are in life. He is always ready to make the best out of all of us, if we just believe and turn to him. Knowing this has given me love, gratitude and an energy for life!

How I live my faith

As a family we try to spend as much time together as possible, in play and in doing spiritual things. We go to church, we support each other in whatever activities we are involved in, we pray together, we serve and give love to those we know and dont know. We mostly have fun doing impulsive things together, like playing in the snow at 11pm, having picnics in the rain, or jumping in each others bed and seeing how many of us can all fit. We love being a close family and that has helped us to be there for eachother.
