Hi I'm Todd

I'm a husband, a father, an entrepreneur, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband to a beautiful wife. We met in college through mutual friends which eventually led to a short engagement until we were married. Now we have become parents to 2 great kids and a 3rd on the way! As in most cases, kids are a lot of time, but they are really fun to be with. I have always grown up playing sports which is something I still try to do currently, but my old body is starting to tell me that I might need to back off a little bit. I played competitive soccer my entire youth and into college, I played basketball recreationally, and enjoy playing other sports such as football, hockey, and racquetball, and anything that has a ball. I also enjoy doing things outdoor such as camping and backpacking. I also enjoy researching issues and things that effect our great Country and like to get involved whenever I am able in politics. I guess this is also why I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, because it is always something I feel is important to understand. I have found myself interest in the political issues that affect my family and I'm interested in trying to get my own foot in the world of business and create my own. I've have never been interested in a certain political party, but in understanding the issues that affect us in the long term.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very happy to be LDS and have been LDS my entire life. I'm so happy for grandparents who made the decision decades ago to join the church and raise my parents in it. The thing I love about the church is that it helps me to understand Christ's teachings and His plan that can help carry us through the smooth and rough times. Christ and His church teaches us the principles that are necessary for eternal life and the principles that can help us be loving, patient, gentle, kind, and compassionate toward everyone. The teachings of the church help me to be understanding of others, their views, their concerns, and still be able to stand for what I know is right and what I have been taught. I am a Mormon because I had read and feel I understand Christ’s teachings to be true, that God has always called prophets to help direct His people, and that God has given me the freedom to choose to follow Him and His servants or not. I also know that God has sent us the Comforter to help us receive answer to our own concerns and questions.

How I live my faith

Fiscally, my wife and I try to be conservative in everything we do, which means that we try to save for rainy days, but also live within our means so that we can have fun on our own dime and not on the credit card. We try to stay out of debt and make sure that we can help other people that might some financial help. Spiritually, our family attendeds church weekly, reads scriptures and prays daily. However, I believe that just doing things does not make me a good person, but doing these things can help me to become more Christ-like if I live what I learn in church, from the scriptures, and from the answers to my prayers. Being Mormon (LDS) is not hard, but very enjoyable and helps see everything from an eternal perspective. In the church I'm actively involved with helping to make sure the needs of each family are taken care of. I do have opportunities to teach the adult men in church and to assist with organizing activities.
