Hi I'm Dan

I'm a college student going into Computer Science. I enjoy playing soccer, reading, and computers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church and served a mission in Paraguay. I'm currently attending college hoping to major in Computer Science, with a minor in Spanish. I am a huge soccer fan and played on local teams for about elven years. I also enjoy reading a good book every now and then. I really like science fiction, adventure and other such literature. I enjoy any and all technology and am constantly looking for the newest gadgets out there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and have participated in it my whole life. I was always taught that this was the true church and that it was the path I was to follow. At first I just followed my parents, believing things because they did. I didn't really have an opinion or a testimony. Of course one day I had to sit down and ask myself what I personally believed. It was then that I came to realize that I didn't know. So, I set about trying to figure it out. I started with what I had been taught my whole life to see if it was true before looking somewhere else. It took a long time for me to sort out what I believed to by right and wrong. After much searching, lots of study, hours of contemplation, and constant prayer, I finally came to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God is real. I know that Jesus Christ really is the Son of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is really being directed by them. I heard of lots of people having miraculous conversion stories. For me, it wasn't like that. I studied it out in my mind, thought about it long and hard, weighed the different points, and most definitely prayed. I prayed that I would know what was the truth. And this is what I have found out. I know that anyone that want's to know if this church is true, can. It may come easily, but it will come.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example to those around me. I'm definitely not perfect but I am always trying to support those I come in contact with and show them what it means to live a Christ-like life. I also try to complete the responsibilities that come with being a leader in the church. I am an assistant executive secretary in my ward, which basically means I make myself available to the people in the ward and setup appointments for them to meet with the Bishop for whatever their needs might be.
