Hi I'm Nancy

I am a teacher. I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a den leader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Marrying in my mid 30s and having children into my early 40s has changed my hobbies and interests quite a bit. Currently my greatest hobby is my kids. I am constantly busy trying to keep up with them - - homework, music lessons, sports, etc. I enjoy finding and trying new recipes and love indexing! I have enjoyed making quilts, scrapbook classes, baking, playing the piano and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon by heritage but I remain a Mormon by choice. Life is full of challenges and difficulties. I have found for myself that the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives peace, happiness and the direction I need to tackle whatever comes my way. The answers and resolutions don't always come quickly but through consistently and persistently choosing to follow the Savior's teachings blesses my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to do a little better, to be a little better in living the teachings of the gospel. I don't always perfectly succeed but know through the atonement of Christ there will always be another chance to try again. I try to not be so busy with what is important to me that I miss an opportunity to ease a burden for someone else. I volunteer in my children's classrooms at school, I am friendly to the check out lady in the grocery store, I try to go the extra mile with my 8 year old Cub Scouts - - little things.
