Hi I'm Richard Braden Jacobson

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in and around the Church, and love to share the Gospel.

About Me

I am fortunate to have grown up in a loving family with two wonderful parents and 3 other siblings. I love to play sports, especially tennis, golf, and basketball, as well as hang out with my few friends that haven't gone away to college. I'm easy to get along with and love talking to people about various subjects.

Why I am a Mormon

I always went to church ever since I was little, because I thought that was the thing to do on Sunday. Even though I always knew the Church was true, but I didn't have a strong testimony of its truefulness until my mom had a heart-attack a little less then a year ago. Right then I started thinking about death, and how short life on this earth is. At the time i was living my life unworthily and without purpose. I immersed myself in the Book of Mormon especailly Alma chapters 34 & 42 about the miraclious plan our Heavenly Father set up, through his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. As my mom recovered, I found better friends and activites to be doing, and i felt happier in my life, and still do today! I know that Heaven Father lives and that He sent his Son down to Atone for the sins of this world, and only by Christ can salvation come. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Christ and they really did speak to him by name. And under the direction of them Christ's true church was restored upon this earth through the Priesthood Authority of God. I know that Christ is my brother and I look forward to the day I meet my Maker, for when the time comes I enter into Heaven, I won't be alone, instead Christ will be holding my hand every step of the way like He does in my life right now! I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior Amen.

How I live my faith

Every week i try and particpate in serving other in my ward, usually older members. I also get the opportunity to teach three families once a month as part of hometeaching. Most Important is I get to partake of Christ's sacrament once a week to renew my convenants such as baptism, I've made with the Lord. By doing so I am reminding myself of the standards, convenants, and commmandments I uphold and live by everyday help me live my faith.
