Hi I'm Elisabeth

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I love the arts, writing, and green chile. I am a film student and a singer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult who lives with one foot on earth and the other in the clouds. One part of me is living the life right in front of me while the other is composing stories in my head--describing the leaf that just fell from the tree or the way the woman at the bus stop looked like under all the roughness of life she held a secret more valuable than gold. I am a film student in my third year. I see things through a camera lens (whether there is one in my hand or not). My focus at school is editing and criticism. I love the more meditative aspects of film. Piecing together footage into a well crafted whole. Or breaking down the well-crafted whole into an analysis of humanity and our artistic representations of it. My minor is in music. I love to sing. As a child, I used to stick my head out the car window and sing at the top of my lungs. The blend of the real and the abstract create the tapastry that I weave day by day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have traversed many valleys, climbed many mountains, and tread many waters. There have been times when life has passed faster than I could hold on, and sometimes it has taken everything I have to hold on through one more passing moment. But through it all--the highest highs, the lowest lows, and everything in between--I know that Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven are by my side. Everything I have and will ever experience has been felt by Christ. Through His sacrifice I am given strength. He is my Joy and my Song. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am a disciple of Christ, and I am blessed through being a participant in His Gospel upon the earth.

How I live my faith

Every decision I make, every thought, and every behavior is directly connected to my faith. I believe that Jesus Christ is real. I believe He has a Plan specifically for me. Thus, I strive to pattern my life after His. I try to go about doing good, I try to love my neighbor, and I try to learn His Will for me. Being a disciple of Christ is a life-style. It is lifting up the hands that hang down and growing closer to God each day. This is how I seek to live my life.
