Hi I'm Kay Lynne Jacobson

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah. I moved to Hawaii to attend Brigham Young University - Hawaii and lived there for 16 years.

About Me

I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, making homemade cards, baking and embroidery. I also like to read and watch movies. I've been lucky to have been to Europe twice, China, Greece and Turkey. I thought Turkey would be my least favorite destination spot but I was wrong. It was amazing and I would like to visit Turkey again. My trip to China was the highlight of my travels. I have lived in Utah and Hawaii most of my life. I work in the Hospitality Industry. This career has given me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. I grew up in the Church. Sometimes I was more active than other times and it has only been in the last decade that I committed myself to being fully active. It has been a blessing in my life. Participating in Church has kept me grounded and has given me greater appreciation for the blessings that our Heavenly Father has given me. Knowing I have a Heavenly Father that loves me has made difficult times, while still hard to endure, a little easier to cope with. These challenges have given me the opportunity to develop my faith. I know that I am a Child of God and that he loves me. I know that I am following the teachings of Jesus Christ and that brings me great joy.

How I live my faith

Sunday is my favorite day of the week and I love attending my church meetings. I learn so much each week from the lessons that are taught. Being involved with Church work gives me the opportunity to meet new people and to get to know them. I am currently a Ward Missionary for my Ward. Which means I visit less active members or help the Missionaries teach individuals that may be interested in learning more about the Church. I have participated in the church in many different ways. Sometimes with our children's program or the youth program. Everything I do makes me feel good being able to help others.
