Hi I'm Pat

I grew up in Alaska, I'm married to a wonderful lady and have three wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Washington for over 35 years, but was born and raised in Alaska. I'm married and have a wonderful daughter and two great sons, a flat-coated retriever, and three cats. I love the great outdoors and nature. I'm a classic motorcyclist, love hiking in the mountains, and reading non-fiction stories of courage, faith, and integrity.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon with a desire to know if it was true. Feeling that it was I prayed for a confirmation and received that witness from God. I learned from that experience and many others that followed, that God knew who I was, that he cared about me, and wanted me to become involved in this church. This gospel has been a great source of strength, peace, and direction for me in my life.

How I live my faith

Our church has a lay clergy and members have opportunities to service in various capacities throughout their lives. I've lived my faith by serving in the church as a local missionary and sharing our beliefs with those who are interested. I have taught the gospel in sunday school and other classes, I have visited members and neighbors in their homes, bringing them a spiritual message, helped them with projects, offered them advise, and encouragement. I have also served the youth, including the Boy Scout organization. I try to live my faith by being a good neighbor and helping those around me in anyway that I can and by being involved in community service projects.
