Hi I'm Linda

I'm a retired 7th grade math teacher, a mother of five, and a grandmother of 17. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Linda Lenhard. I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, retired middle school teacher, and avid genealogist. My husband and I will be going on a Mission for the Church soon. We are very excited for the opportunity to serve the Lord on a full-time basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that families are eternal. The Gospel of Jesus Christ consists of plain and simple truths. It makes sense. It helps me to understand who I am, why I am on this earth, and where I am going when this life is over. I cannot imagine a Heaven without my family. This truth helped me find the Church. When I was young, I had an experience that led me to question what I was being taught in the Church I was then attending about families and their place in Heaven. I began to pray for an answer to my question. When the Missionaries came to teach my husband and myself that first day, they walked in and said, Sister Lenhard, we are here to tell you that families are forever. They had no idea that I had been praying to know this truth for many years. From there, it was a matter of learning and praying about other teachings that brought me to realize through the Spirit that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I am constantly learning and growing in the Gospel. I love how Heavenly Father wants us to come home to Him. He is our Father.

How I live my faith

I love the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am learning His ways and trying to be like Him. I know that I fall far short of His expectations for me, but I will keep trying to become a better person. I start each day with prayer, pray off and all day long, and end in prayer. This helps me focus on Him. I read my Scriptures in the morning to prepare myself for the day. It helps me to be in a better frame of mind, and I feel it prepares me to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost.
