Hi I'm Dennis

I'm a Mormon.I am married and the Father of five.Work full time and I enjoy life to the fullest.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful woman for 35 years, who is my best friend. We have a Family of five kids, two dogs, and a cat. Our kids are now grown and out to show the World what they have to offer in life.It was a challenge to raise kids but it is a great experience to see them learn and grasp the things taught to them, and the sometimes the redo's at somethings.Having a wife that has the same thought on raising kids as myself is great ,not that we were or are perfect in teaching them but we gave them our best shot and sometimes we needed a different plan of teach so together we rose to the challenge. As adults it is fun to talk to our children and talk about times in thier lives growing up and seeing how they now see things as adults and how we were all learning together. I never completed college so stressing to my children the importance of a college education was high on my list for them, and all have a degree or working toward one at this time. I have been at the same job for 29 years so that has been good for me.Being taught at a young age to work has been helpfull in keeping a job to support my family. On the family farm was a place to grow and to learn the work ethic by watching my parents both work together to reach the goals they had set for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. So I was taken to church every week and was taught about Jesus and his Life, and about living Prophets and what it meant to those people teaching me.That was good being around others my own age learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I had friends at school who were not Mormons and they had many different religions so we did not believe the same, good people just different points of view. As I got older I had to learn for myself if the things I had been taught were true and right for me.So I prayed to my Father in Heaven to know if the things I had been taught were true.It did not happen in an instant but I knew in my heart and mind that it was correct for me.I had a warm feeling and I have not looked back knowing I have a living Prophet to guide me and my Family.

How I live my faith

In my community I have served as the President of the Booster club for the local High School, and work at the concession stand at sporting events.Worked on many community building projects ,city parks, church recreation park and school building projects as a volunteer and coached youth basketball and football for the city Park and Recreation Department. In the Church I have worked with the Boy Scouts and young men up to 18,helping with camps, service projects,Christmas tree sales and other activities on a weekly basis,Taught classes for both the youth and adults on Sundays, and help clean our Church building on a regular schedule. As I work in my community with people of other faiths it is important to me to respect their belielfs and ideas on life and family. As I do, they respect me for my convictions and beliefs.I treat others how I would like to be treated. It is great to work and live in my community.
