Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a happy wife, mom of seven, story reader, museum goer, nature lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband while attending college and we have been married for 22 years. He is my best friend and the love of my life. We have seven children whom we treasure. I get to stay home with my children full time. I enjoy most doing educational things with them, like reading stories, going to museums or finding things to learn about in the amazing world around us. I am happiest when I am surrounded by my family and friends and we are laughing together or just enjoying each other.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is a great blessing in my life. I know that I am a child of a God and that he loves me. God has shown me the way to live a happy life now and even more happiness after I die. When I read the Book of Mormon, I feel strength that helps me throughout the day. I know it is the word of God to ancient prophets and that it was written for our day. I also believe the Bible is the word of God. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can live again after I die with my family. When things are more difficult in my life, I know that I can pray and I receive help and spiritual guidance. I like to find things to treasure that bring me deep and lasting happiness. I am a Mormon because it helps me live a life that brings joy.

How I live my faith

I love to take early morning walks and see the sun rise. As the world begins to brighten, I hear the birds chirping and am reminded that today is a new day just waiting for me to make the most of it. I start each day with prayer and reading in the scriptures so I can try my best to live that day according to my faith. Throughout the day I look for ways that I can lift someone around me and help them feel loved. I know that when I serve others I really get more than I give because of the great feeling I feel inside. I attend church each week and feel strengthened by those around me who are also striving each day to help make the world a better place. I try to take time to “smell the roses” and really be thankful for all that God has given me. I try to teach my children by my example and also through talking with them to have strong characters, help others, and try to always do their best. My faith is something that is a part of me and touches everything I do.
