Hi I'm Dax

I live in Phoenix. I have 5 very active children. I played college soccer and enjoy riding dirt bikes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live and work in Phoenix AZ, I moved to Phoenix to attend Thunderbird business school and ended up finding a job that kept me here. I now work in corporate finance for First Solar. I am a father of 5 children and enjoy a busy life of youth soccer, baseball and gymnastics & dance recitals. As a family we enjoy swimming together and taking the quads, dirt bikes and golf cart camping and riding. I played soccer in college for BYU but now 15 years later and 20 lbs. heavier I prefer watching.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a youth I admit that it sometimes felt restrictive and old-fashioned, not keeping pace with the trends of the world that appeared fun and attractive. But as I grew older I saw that living those principles keeps you sheltered from unnecessary pain and heartache and grew to understand the wisdom in those teachings. I now recognize that I enjoyed a very peaceful and happy home and want to provide that same thing for my children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be honest and true in my interactions with other people and living the standards I believe to be true. I take my family to church every Sunday but don’t stop there. We have the goal to pray and read the scriptures together on a daily basis and dedicate Monday nights to family activity time. With 5 young children that is sometimes a challenge, but we have seen the benefits of our consistent efforts. It is rewarding to hear our children relate those scripture stories and teachings of the Savior and see how they can implement His example of love in their lives and interactions with their friends at school. I am far from perfect but try to live the standards that I believe will bring the most happiness to life and stand up for those beliefs in spite of current trends and opinions.
