Hi I'm Glen

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I drove a truck for Shamrock Dairy 30 years.

About Me

I have been married for forty-six years to a wonderful woman.  I am the father of nine childen and twenty-eight grandchildren. I worked in a meat packing company for ten years. When the plant was shut down I became a truck driver for Shamrock Dairy. I delivered dairy products to schools, stores and restaurants throughout the state of Arizona for thirty years. I have always enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting with family. I served in Scouting for twenty-five years as blazer leader, explorer advisor, assistant scout master, scout master, committee chairman, and district commissioner. I enjoy being with the young boys and teaching them the skills of life. When I retired from Shamrock I became a school bus driver.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a forth generation Mormon. I have had to gain my own testimony and have not relied on the testimony of my ancestors. I have studied the scriptures and prayed to receive in my heart a firm conviction that I need to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior, my Redeemer. I am trying to live my life following His example. The church teaches me how to be a good son, husband, father, grandfather and citizen by coming unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my wife, my children and grandchildren, my church family, and community. I have had many opportunities to serve in the church. When I was nineteen years old I was called to serve a two year mission in New Zealand. I have served as scout master, young men's president, stake missionary, bishopric counselor, high councilman, high priest group leader and bishop. I am currently teaching an adult Sunday School class. These many years of serving others has given me more faith in Christ for He truly taught that when you are in the service of others you are truly in the service of God.
