Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Washington. I love baseball. I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am almost done with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I'm currently student teaching 3rd grade. I love most sports but I throughly enjoy baseball. Whether it's playing, coaching, or watching I'm all about the sport. I am also a swimmer. Some would say that I'm a fish outta water. I was a competitive swimmer in high school and enjoyed doing the 100 meter crawl stroke.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents have been active all of my life. I'm one of the fortunate ones to have ancestors cross the plains on both sides of my family. I had ancestors who came from Europe because they believed in it so strongly. I have been away from home a few years and have had the opportunity to make my own choices and I always have come back to the Church. It is my rock and foundation for which I build my life upon. My Savior Jesus Christ sacrificed so much for me personally and I have seen miracles and blessings in my life everyday. I know that my family can be together forever because of the gospel and because it's our Heavenly Father's plan for his children to come back to Him and live together forever. Through the Atonement that Jesus Christ went through in the Garden before he was crucified, I know that all of this is possible. I'm thankful for this church and for modern day prophets such as Thomas S. Monson and his twelve apostles that recieve revelation for the Saints everyday. The Chruch is True!

How I live my faith

I have always been active in my ward depending on where I've lived. I have been fortunate to have had numerous callings and I try to participate in as much as I can. I have got to work with the sisters in the Relief Society by being in what is called the Relief Society Presidency where I was what is called the Secretary. This was a great opportunity for me to work personally with the president and I made some life long friends in the process. My other favorite callings include Relief Society Teacher and the Activities Committee. This church is so wonderful because we are always having activities and service projects. I try to participate in these every week. This helps keep me close to the Lord and helps me associate with people who are my age who have the same standards of how they live their life which goes along with mine. We are always having a good time and learning important principles that will benefit our lives and the lives of those around us.
