Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a Wife, Mom of 4 (one angel), I teach dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and Mom of 4 beautiful kids. We have twins, a beautiful daughter, and we had a baby boy that passed away at 19 days old of a heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrom (HLHS). I am blessed to stay at home and take care of my family. I love playing with my kids, and spending time with them. I teach dance, love to clip coupons, and love to scrapbook!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the church, and had always had a desire to be good. While in High school I really prayed and received an answer that this church was true and that I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be married to my husband forever, not just while on this earth. I was blessed to marry a wonderful man in the temple, and we are sealed for ETERNITY! When we were pregnant with our 4th child and found out he had a severe heart defect (HLHS) it really tried my faith. We have struggled with infertility our entire marriage, and it took us 3 years to get pregnant with him, and now he was even guaranteed to make it to delivery! Our faith was really tested at that time, and we grew closer as a family and closer to the Lord. We knew that we had to turn our entire life, and the life of our precious baby, into the Lord's hands. He was born and we had some amazing spiritual experiences during the course of his short 19 days. We continued having faith, knowing that if we had enough faith he could be healed. We also had enough faith to know that it was in the Lords hands, and we had to trust Him. Sadly, he passed away at 19 days old, but this experience helped solidify my testimony. How grateful I am to know that I WILL see him again, and I will always be his Mommy, and he will be in our family forever. It also taught me that with faith Heavenly Father can heal anyone or anything, but it takes even MORE faith when He doesn't answer our prayers the way you want Him to. He still loves us and is mindful of us. I'm sad I don't have my baby here on earth, but he is our treasure in Heaven, and "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also!"

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. It is everything that I am. It is part of how I am a Mom, friend, sister, wife, and teacher. I have the opportunity to work with the 11 yr old scouts and I love it! I have had many opportunities to work with the younger age children (under 12) and I enjoy being able to influence them and help them make good choices and be good examples.

What is being a Mormon like?

I think that being a Mormon is similar to what a lot of my neighbors are like that aren't Mormon. We mow our lawn, we take our kids for bike rides, we play at the park, just like our neighbors. We appreciate families, and we have a couple more kids than our neighbors, but it doesn't make us any better. Most of my neighbors want what is best for their kids, just like us. We do attend church for 3 hours a week, and we are counseled to NOT smoke, drink, or use drugs, watch pornography, but our free agency allows us to, if we want. But, with that free agency, we have to remember that there are consequences, like addiction, so the counsel to not do some of the worldly things are not really restrictions, but are guidelines to help protect us.
